Industries Served

Multiple sectors. One supplier. The metals that build, move and power the UK.

You know your industry inside out. We know the metals that make it work.

For decades, we have supplied stainless steel, aluminium, copper, brass, bronze and specialist alloys to the sectors that build the country, keep it moving, and power its future. From a single offcut for a precision engineer to a multi-tonne project package for a nuclear site, the answer comes from the same network: 18 Service Centres, the largest fleet in the industry, and a team who understand what your sector demands.

If it carries something, somewhere, we probably helped build it.

From 3.5-tonne vans to 32-tonne tippers, the UK's bodybuilders, trailer manufacturers and vehicle converters turn chassis into working vehicles every day. The sector sits inside an automotive industry worth £92 billion in turnover and employs hundreds of thousands of people across the country.

You will find the materials you need in our stock: aluminium extrusions, dropside sections, Aalcomesh, sideguards, GRP panels, tipper plate and tipper sections. Brochures in your inbox, materials on your shop floor.

Salt water punishes weak materials. The UK marine sector knows it.

As the world's third-largest boatbuilder and Europe's fourth-largest shipbuilder, the UK builds everything from naval vessels and offshore support ships to superyachts, leisure craft and high-speed planing boats. Add in ship repair, marine engineering and offshore renewables vessels, and you have a sector contributing more than £100 billion to the wider maritime economy.

You will find the right answer in our stock: marine-grade 5083 aluminium, 316 stainless steel, naval brass, phosphor bronze and copper-nickel. All certified, all backed by 18 Service Centres along the coast and inland.

Second only to the United States. That is the UK aerospace industry.

The sector turns over £34 billion, employs around 100,000 people, and exports roughly 70% of what it makes. Engines, wings, helicopters, structures, systems, all designed and built here for civil and military markets worldwide.

You will find aerospace-grade aluminium in our stock, including the 2024 and 7075 alloys that go into airframes, plus specialist stainless and nickel alloys for engine and structural applications. Certified to ASTM, ASME and BS EN as required.

Buildings, infrastructure, public spaces. Metal sits at the heart of them all.

The UK construction industry is worth over $316 billion and rising, with a government target of 1.5 million new homes in five years and an infrastructure pipeline covering rail, road, water, energy and aviation. Architects and contractors are reaching for materials that look good, last decades, and tell a sustainability story.

You will find what they need in our stock: stainless steel for facades, cladding, handrails and balustrades; aluminium for curtain walling, roofing and structural extrusions; copper for roofing that weathers to that distinctive green; and the brass and bronze touches that finish the job.

The biggest transformation in UK energy in a generation, and it runs on metal.

Sizewell C has been given the green light at a capital cost of £38 billion. Hinkley Point C is under construction. Small Modular Reactors are being developed by Rolls-Royce. Nuclear employment has grown 35% in three years to reach 87,000 workers. Beyond nuclear, the wider sector covers thermal plant, hydrogen, carbon capture and grid infrastructure.

You will find the materials the supply chain demands in our stock: austenitic stainless tube, pipe and fittings, plate in nuclear-grade specifications, and high-nickel alloys including Inconel and duplex. Backed by ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001, Cyber Essentials Plus and Nuclear Skills Academy membership.

The North Sea still meets over half of the UK's oil and gas needs, and the sector is reinventing itself.

Oil and gas supports 154,000 jobs and contributes £25 billion in gross value added each year. Alongside it, the UK is building 13 GW of offshore wind capacity, decommissioning ageing platforms, and laying the foundations for hydrogen and carbon capture. Every one of those activities demands materials that survive sour service, chloride attack and deep subsea conditions.

You will find the right alloy in our stock: super duplex and duplex stainless, nickel alloys, 316L and 6Mo grades, in tube, pipe, fittings, plate and bar. All certified to BS EN 10204 3.1 and meeting PED 2014/68/EU Annex 1 Para UW51 where required.
