Safety, traceability and trusted supply for the UK nuclear supply chain.
Nuclear demands more than good materials.
Safety. Traceability. Cyber-secure data. A supply chain you can audit, trust and depend on, every time.
That's the standard we operate to, and we've spent the last decade getting ready for it.
The nuclear supply chain works to long timescales. We've taken a steady, long-term approach: training, accreditations, memberships and supplier approvals built up in step with an industry that values patience and preparation.
That groundwork, paired with the proactive, tenacious approach our sales team is known for, means we're ready to support customers from first enquiry through to delivery.
Sizewell C is the proof point. A 3.2GW twin-reactor station, designed to supply around 7% of UK electricity and power six million homes for 60 years. Expected to generate a £4 billion regional boost, support 70,000 jobs and engage 3,000 UK suppliers.
We're ready for it.
Our offer to the nuclear and power generation sector covers:
The range supports Tier 1 contractors, pipework contractors, vessel fabricators, sheet metal fabricators, engineering companies and decommissioning contractors.
Because nuclear projects are project-driven, the range above is a starting point. Talk to us about the specifications, certifications and forms your project requires.
Selected Aalco Service Centres hold specialist nuclear-related accreditations. Talk to us about your project to confirm what applies.
Every piece of material we supply to the nuclear sector is fully certified and fully traceable.
We prefer European mills and apply strict sourcing controls, with Far Eastern material avoided as a matter of course. That gives your project full audit confidence from order through to install.
Our Norwich team has completed Triple Bar nuclear training, covering nuclear safety culture, site understanding and security awareness.
Behind them sits our wider technical support capability, including membership of the British Stainless Steel Association (BSSA) for metallurgical advice, and access to mechanical testing, chemical analysis and application-specific verification when projects call for it.
Cyber security is non-negotiable in nuclear procurement. Aalco holds Cyber Essentials Plus across the group as part of our nuclear-readiness commitment, protecting your data and your project information at every stage.
