Round, hexagon, square, flat and angle, in the grades and finishes
that machine and fabricate best.
If you machine, forge or fabricate stainless bar, you want three
things: the right grade, the right size and a quick turnaround.
That's what our stainless bar service is built to deliver.
Grades held in stock
1.4305 (303)
Free-machining austenitic. Sulphur-added for better chip-breaking and
faster machining speeds. The default for precision engineering,
repetition turning and CNC work where machinability matters more than
weldability.
1.4301/1.4307 (304/304L)
Standard austenitic. Excellent corrosion resistance, formability and
weldability. The general-purpose choice for fabrication and
structural work.
1.4401/1.4404 (316/316L)
Molybdenum-added austenitic. Better chloride and pitting resistance.
The choice for marine, chemical, pharmaceutical and food-grade
applications.
Duplex, super duplex and specialist alloys available to order through
our Bespoke Materials service.
